Our double felt full block chenille varsity letter is traditionally worn on the left chest of a letterman jacket or letter sweater, and represents the name of your school, team, club, group, business, or institution. It is a popular way to signifiy any accomplishment or achievement. All of our chenille varsity letter patches come in a variety of sizes ranging from two inches to twelve inches, and can be made with up to two layers of high quality scrim felt to create a stunning, layered look. We believe this makes our varsity letters more durable than those of many of our competitors who cut corners by using lower weight material. If you'd like a chenille varsity letter patch that differs from the standard varsity letter patches we offer on the site, please contact us for a custom quote because we can probably get it done.
Chenille - This refers to the fuzzy, soft part that makes up the patch itself.
Top Felt Color - This is the felt material on which the chenille and optional contrasting border are sewn. It serves to frame them with a small amount visible and sits on top of the bottom felt color.
Bottom Felt Color - This is the felt material that serves as the background for the entire patch and can be sewn directly onto your varsity jacket, letterman sweater, or other garment.
Contrasting Border - This is an optional border around the main chenille part of the patch. It can be made in either a chenille stitch style or the more popular chain stitch style.
